Gareth had a distinguished career in business journalism, working for ten years on a number of national newspapers, including The Times and The Observer, and culminating in two years as Deputy City Editor of The Sunday Times. He then spent two years as Head of External Affairs at GKN plc, the FTSE 100 automotive components and aerospace group, before moving into corporate communications consultancy in 1993.

Since that time he has worked with clients across virtually every sector of the stock market, and past clients include WS Atkins, Old Mutual, Invensys, Stobart Group and St. Modwen Properties. Gareth also helped launch Grand Central Railway Company, operator of “Open Access” passenger rail services from the North-East to London. He now works (part-time) as a Rail Replacement Coordinator for First Travel Solutions.
